Holmes Chapel is a delightful rural village situated in the East of Cheshire. The population is just over 6,000 residents and the village itself extends for just under 2km.It was originally known as 'Church Hulme' until 1974 and is often referred to by the locals as 'The Shire.'
The size of the village makes all of its best qualities easy to reach. A resident of Holmes Chapel will find it easy to access spacious green fields, inviting local pubs and a range of independent shops.
Its exceptional transport links makes it unsurprising that the village has grown considerably over the past few years. Commuting to surrounding cities is straight forward thanks to the village being located just 1 mile from junction 18 of the M6 motorway.
There is of course, also the option of using the railway connection which links directly to Manchester and Crewe.
Due ot its rapid expansion over the last few years new housing developments have emerged, and as a result of the growing population, there is now an established secondary school which goes under the name of Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School.
This is useful to know for families looking to move in to the area, as it makes settling in children much easier.
The village itself has in it a bustling community that is welcoming to new residents. There are always a range of village based activities happening, and the pubs offer a relaxing environment in which to unwind.
Other useful services include a supermarket, a take-away, a pizzeria, a betting shop, a library a bakery, a Chinese and Indian Restaurant and more.
